It’s late on Tuesday night, November 22 – the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We are trying to get to bed soon, so we can get some sleep before heading to my parents’ house for the holiday. But we felt like we couldn’t go to sleep without sharing some amazing, amazing, amazing news:
In the past week – ONE week – we have received $8,100 towards our adoption!
One week ago, we still needed $11,700. Now we only need $3,600! I can’t even begin to explain how miraculous all of this feels to us. This money has come in from many various sources, but just watching it happen, almost every day this week, and seeing it quickly add up, and feeling so humbled and so grateful and so blessed – well, there really are no words.
We believe with all of our hearts that it truly is more blessed to give than to receive, and so we hope and pray, for every person that has donated to our adoption, that they will in turn be richly blessed, many times over what they have given to us. They are each God’s instruments of provision in the life of our daughter, Luisa, and it is impossible to put a value on that. We look forward to a day in the future when we can do the same. :)
Thank you so much for supporting our family in the adoption of Luisa. We continue to trust in God for the remaining amount we need, and look forward with eager anticipation to seeing how He will provide. We can’t wait to go and get our little girl from Colombia and bring her home!
