We have exciting news to share!
First of all, it is looking very likely that we will travel to Colombia about one month from today, on January 10! We are sort of in shock and can’t believe that it will quite possibly be happening so soon. We are still waiting for this date to be made official, so it could vary by a few days, but that is the target date for now. Whoo hooooooo!
Secondly, and amazingly, we are almost finished with our fundraising!!! We only need about $200 more dollars before we reach our official goal of $12,700. ISN’T THAT INCREDIBLE?!?!
We were able to raise over $1000 selling handmade goods at The For the City Network’s Christmas Market last weekend. Between what we’ve raised through selling our items, the grant from Show Hope, and donations that have come in, we are now soooo very close to our goal. This has truly been a work of God and we are so humbled to see the way that He has provided.
Any amount that we raise above our goal will be saved to create a cushion for unexpected expenses in Colombia, just in case! (Because there are so many unknowns, it will be wise to have a little more than we think we’ll need.)
