4-4=2 (wheels, that is)

It’s been about 9 hours now, but it’s still hardly sinking in. Being a one-car-family is something we’ve talked about here and there, but now that it’s here I’m not sure how I feel about it.

We sold my car to help us fund the first part of our adoption—our homestudy. I have a bike now and we’re within good biking range where it’s not too hard to get to work (aside from arriving all sweaty). We also really need the money to be able to afford this first step. Everything lines up; it’s a good thing to do.

Selling the car, I tell myself, is a good sacrifice to make. It’s going to help me adopt my child. My child. What’s more important? Why do I still feel weird about this?

Well, weirdness aside, I’m very glad we went through with it. I’m excited to finish up our paperwork and get our homestudy under way!

In other news, we’re very close to getting a few items up in our online store. We’ll be announcing it here when it’s ready.
