In my last update, I told you I turned in our home study paperwork on Friday morning, October 15. We were told that our social worker would call us today (Monday) to set up a time for our interviews. Well, she emailed us on Saturday morning, the 16th, and said that she goes to our church, and she offered to do our individual interviews on Sunday morning (yesterday) at church! We were amazed and very excited to be able to move the process along so quickly.
So, we had our individual interviews and I think they went fine. Our social worker’s name is Leslie; she is very laid-back and easy to talk to. She said she likes to move quickly, so she asked if she could schedule our in-home joint interview this week. Sooooo, she will be coming over Thursday morning, the 21st, at 10:30! Eeeeeek!
We are very happy about the swiftness of this part of the process. In the meantime, we are frantically cleaning the house and getting ready for Thursday morning. Prayers would be appreciated for our preparation and of course, for the interview itself.
