A really big thank-you to all of you who purchased our Valentines during the month of February! Many of you also promoted them on your own blogs, and through Facebook and Twitter. We are so grateful! We sold many more than we had expected, and we also received an amazing number of donations above and beyond the price of the Valentines, so in total we were able to raise about $3000, bringing our current total to almost $4000!!! Whoo hoo! We are getting so close to our initial goal of $7000. We couldn’t have done it without you – thank you so so much.
We are preparing to re-stock our Etsy shop with some fun items soon, such as hair accessories, photographs, Easter cards, Mother’s Day cards, and more. Keep your eyes peeled for those things and please, if you need to purchase a gift or are looking for unique decor, consider purchasing from us first! You will be helping to bring our child home.
In other exciting news, today we received our FBI clearance papers in the mail! It was supposed to take 8-12 weeks but it only took five. This is one of the major pieces we were waiting on for our dossier. The other piece we are still waiting on is our clearance from the USCIS. Once we receive that – and once we have raised all of our initial funds – then we can send everything in and officially get approved by Colombia. At that point we will just be waiting for a match – which could take anywhere from one month to three years! Yes, sometimes that feels crazy and overwhelming to me. But we believe that God has our child in mind already and will bring him/her to us when the time is right. We are trusting Him.
