Progress!!!

Yesterday evening we got some great news! We were approved for a zero-interest adoption loan from Abba Fund in the amount of $5000. Whoo hoo!!!

(You may not know, but when you adopt a child, you receive a tax credit the following year, and you may use this refund to pay back a loan, effectively making adoption more affordable for everyone. That is what we intend to do – hopefully we will be able to receive loans up to the amount of the tax credit.)

We also heard back about a few changes we need to make to our dossier – we have been working on those and will finish it up this weekend, hopefully receiving final approval by Tuesday, July 5.

Fundraising Status – (Almost) COMPLETE!

In December we met our goal of $12,700, which we were using to budget for our trip. Since then we've encountered more and more unplanned expenses, both leading up to and during our trip.

We're in Colombia now and are awaiting the court's approval to move forward with our case. We were able to raise a bit more money which will allow us to pay for another week here. If you're so inclined, please consider partnering with us so we can finish out our journey here. We're very grateful for your support!
